August 6, 1945 – Monday
Went over this morning and turned in our money to be exchanged to American money. Played cards the rest of the day and went to a U.S.O. show in the evening.
August 5, 1945 – Sunday
Went to mass at 8 o’clock this morning. Came back played some cards till dinner. Went over and got a couple of cokes in the afternoon. Played some more cards. Went to a movie in the evening.
August 4, 1945 – Saturday
Slept all morning. Shaved and went out to take a sun bath. Took a shower, ate chow. Went to the Red Cross. Got a beer and went to the show.
