Slept all morning. Layed out in the sun in the afternoon. Played a little cards and went to the show in the evening. Then played more cards till bed time.

Ate breakfast. Laid around in the sun till dinner. Went to a show in the afternoon. Played some ping pong. Played cards and went to bed.
Slept all morning. Got up in time to eat dinner. We had to go through some reclassification in the afternoon. Went over and drank some beer and then went to a show. Talked for a while and went to bed.
Was up early this morning, shaved and got ready to leave. We are to leave at 7:30 am. I said good-bye to Zirkel and Council. I surely hated to leave those fellows. Said good-bye to the rest of the fellows and climbed on the truck. We went to the 3rd Q.M. and then had a talk by the general. We left about 3 pm in the afternoon. We ate chow and the Red Cross gave us doughnuts and coffee.
Slept late this morning. Then Rainvella and I took a run out to the Air Corp to sell my guns and camera. Sold everything I had. Went down to the swimming pool. They had a swimming meet and the 3rd division won. Played a soft ball game and then Council, Zirkel and I went to the show. Came back by the Red Cross and got a cup of coffee. Came home and went to bed.

Well the time has come and I’m coming home. We are to leave the company the 17th of July, and within about three weeks I should be home and a civilian. Now don’t get too excited about me coming home as many things can happen. I just wanted you to know I was coming so you would not be too excited when I call you on the phone. I don’t want you to meet me in Chicago. I want to meet you at home. Tell dad when I call from Chicago, he can get the day off because I want to see both of you at once and smother you both with kisses and hugs. Now don’t think I’m of big baby if I break down and cry, but I have missed both of you so much that you will never know how much. Good by and just cross your fingers and pray that I make it.
All My Love
