Letter Home – June 27, 1944

19440627-Lscan-600Dear Mother & Dad

Well here I am again, a little late but there is little to write about here. I would like to go see Paul, but so far I haven’t had time. Man I have never been so busy before since we left Camp Picket VA. for overseas. Gee’s letter also said that Herman Osterber was in the 7th infantry. I’ll go see him to if I can. He saw some of the Fellows from my outfit and Asked about me but I had all ready passed by ahead of them as I didn’t get to see him. Did I tell you that I saw John Murry. It was just plain luck. Well I have a box of gifts on the way home and I hope they get there as they are worth a fortune. Goodbye and will write more later.

Your Son,
“Chick”
