Worked in the supply in the morning and wrote letters all afternoon. In the evening I went for a walk around the town and stopped in the Red Cross on the way home.

Coon and I go on pass every other day. We just go to a show and down to the Red Cross to get some doughnuts. Played some cards tonight.

Went to mass this morning at 9:30. Coon and I went to Nancy on pass. Went to the show, then down to the Red Cross to get some doughnuts and coffee. Played some cards.
March 17, 1945 – Saturday
Read, write, and play cards is all there is to do. Went for a walk in the park. Jr. and I went up to the Red Cross.
