June 30, 1945 – Saturday
Had to turn in excess clothing today. All the fellows left this morning and it surely left an empty feeling in my stomach. Felt pretty blue all day. Went over to Lore’s and played cards.

Had a few things to do today, not much though. Packed up a couple of boxes to send home. Sat around and talked all day. Cleaned up and went over to the Strause’s. Came home early.
