December 23, 1944 – Saturday
We hooked up the generator today and got the radio going. I wrote some letters. God its really cold here. Every thing is froze up.

Not much doing. The company is out working today. I wrote a few letters and that was about all.

Today we loaded most of our supplies on the truck. Not much to do. Took a shower. Went out tonight.

December 17, 1944 – Sunday
Went to mass this morning at 9:30 am. In the afternoon Margo, Janie, and I went for a walk and took a few pictures. Went over to the house tonight, but didn’t stay long.
December 16, 1944 – Saturday
Don’t know how long we will be here, but I’ll keep my fingers crossed so we might stay for a while. We are on the alert to go up as infantry, don’t know what will happen. Went out tonight.

Packed a few things on the truck. Outside of that there was little to do. Went out for a while but came in early.
