March 31, 1943 – Wednesday

Today is April fools Day and to met just another Wednesday and salvage day. Here I thought today was April fools Day. Boy I worked like a son-of-a-gun today. I had salvage to get in also we received a lot of clothing and I had to get it out. We played Hq company a ball game and won 6 to 5. Joe Pyrz knocked a long drive with a man on 2nd. I pitched but wasn’t feeling so good so I didn’t pitch well. We were lucky to win. It’s a good thing we had good hitters. I wrote a few letters and then went to bed. I read a little while before going to bed.
