Letter Home – February 27, 1944

19440227-Letter scanDear Mother & Dad,
Just a line to let you know that I am well and in good health. There is little to write about here so don’t expect too many letters. I received your valentines and letter of Feb 8th. Also Gee’s tobacco pouch that she sent me. Tell her thanks a million. So Al is in 1-A. It sure is a shame that they send fathers with three or four kids into the army, when they have plenty of young fellows back in the states. It didn’t used to bother me, but I’m beginning to get fed up with that kind of army. By the time the kids get through college the war will be over. Goodbye and write.
All my Love
Your Son,
“Chick”
