Went over to the Bn Medics and they sent me on to the 3rd Medics. From there I went to the 173rd General Hospital (Nancy, France). Filled out all of my blanks and went up to Ward D-1 room 306. Took off all my clothes, put on pajamas and crawled into bed. The doctor came in and looked me over. Went to sleep as I felt rough.
NOTE: This is the first entry in a new pocket size notebook that Chick kept his diary in through the remainder of the war.
