Letter home – July 1, 1943

Vmail - 19430701Dear Mother & Dad;
I don’t even know what month it is do I? Okay well it doesn’t make any difference anyway, I’m not going anyplace. I have received any of the packages yet but I will let you know as soon as I do. By the way you had better get the C. paper renewed. We have a lot of work to do ahead of us so if you do not hear from me as often as you do think nothing of it.
How would you like to go see a movie and right in the middle of the picture they call it off account of and air raid. We were on top of a hill and you could just set and watch a different kind of a show.
Tell Gee thanks for the pictures that she sent. What all are you and dad doing? Why are the flies ever big here, and he makes it all the worse. Well this is all I have to say now so goodbye & I’ll be loving you both.
Your Son “Chick”
