Letter Home – January 8, 1943 | Dad’s Birthday Card

Hello Dad;
I have carried this with me for a long time knowing that your birthday would come around.  I would sure love to be home with you so we could go hunting together.  Take care of Mom and don’t let her worry to much, as I know she does.  I am well and happy.  I’ll be home one of these days, then you, “Snook” and I can go out along the river and see who is till the best shot.  Good by and I’ll be thinking of you.
Your Son “Chick”
