Letter Home – April 2, 1944

19440402-Lscan-600Dear Mother & Dad;

Just received three letters from you. I have about two months stacked by me now, and one of these days when I get time I will answer all of your questions. Yes I have received all of the packages that you have sent me. Still nothing new to write about here. Things are quite the same. Boy Champaign seems to be going great guns in the basketball tournament. Who knows, maybe they might win. I’m sweating out your next letter to see how they came out. Say Dad did you when any pools this year, ha ha. I bet your Fellows on the second floor had quite a time. Guess this is all for now so will bring this to a close. You can send me some candy bars a if you can get them. Also some popcorn. Goodbye and I love you both.

Your Son,
“Chick”
