Feb 7, 1843 – Sunday

Being as everyone is moving, there is no mass and the company had to work anyway. The first Sgt. took HQ platoon out to blow up a couple of big stumps. We blew one stump so good that we didn’t have to worry about sawing it. Ha Ha. All we had to do was go around and look for pieces. In the afternoon I did my washing and played a little volleyball. At night we played cards and then went to bed.
