Feb 4, 1943 – Thursday

We were up at 5:00am this morning to eat breakfast and got ready to move. We loaded a ton and a half truck and I was to stay behind with the rest of the stuff. Another truck came so we finished loading the other supplies on and took off. It was an awful trip over there as the back roads were bad. We are about 5 miles out of Port Lyautey and still in a cork forest. The trees are much larger than the last place and it looks as if it might be a better place in which to live. How long we will be here no one knows. We worked hard all day so I am going to write mother & dad and go to bed.
