April 13, 1945 – Friday

A4P67-3-600We stayed in this area all day. Dago started the generator and we listened to the radio. We left after supper. We are heading toward Bamberg. We set up our tent and went to sleep. Germany was over bombing and strafing all night. He came pretty close to us a few times.

Have you ever thought about getting your diary published? It is wonderful history for our youth today as so many haven’t the slightest idea what our young boys and men went through “back then.” Please contact me if you think it worthwhile to publish. I would love to have all your pages for my notebooks. Right now I’m researching VUMS (veterans, underage military service) that I have been working on for some time. You are a precious person to have made it there and back. God bless you and yours.
