May 14, 1944 – Sunday

SONY DSCToday is Mother’s Day and I have been thinking of Mom all day long. If she only knew how close I came to seeing my end this morning. Old Tudski was really throwing them in this morning. They hit all around us, but everyone was in their holes and no one was hurt. They made one direct hit on a truck and it burnt up. I went to mass this morning, and wrote letters this afternoon.. We played the 3rd QM a ball game tonight and lost 3 to 2. It was a good game. I read until bed time.
